Financial Assistance to fulfill the last wish of Lydiah

Dear Friends,

I am here to request your prayers and financial support for making the death wish of a dear friend of mine a reality.  Lydiah K Gichere was called to eternity on the 19th of January after a four-year-long battle with Lung cancer with metastasis to multiple organs. She was 58 years old and known to her friends, coworkers, and family as a kind, cheerful, and devoted family woman with a beautiful soul.  During the last days of her life, she had expressed her desire to be buried beside her oldest son who had passed away in Kenya. However, her husband cannot afford the huge sum needed for the transportation of mortal remains and burial overseas. So I am asking for your help to pitch in with whatever you can donate to this cause.

 

 I met Lydiah at Carmalite church a few years ago and since then her deep faith and spirituality have inspired me. She was working as a nurse, originally from Kenya, and had been living with her immediate family in Beverly, MA.  Her husband was running a small business but with Lydiah’s illness and taking care of her, it was very tough to manage his business and make a moderate income that the family could get by.  However hefty insurance copays and other expenses to care for Lydiah pushed the family into deep debt.  While the struggle with cancer is going on, the family had to face the unexpected death of their son in Kenya two years ago.  Lydiah missed him dearly until her last breath and asked her husband if she could be laid to rest next to her son.  Her husband started the paperwork to initiate the transfer of mortal remains, however, he needs support from generous souls to make it a reality.
