Requesting financial assistance for constructing the home for a mother & son with physical disabilities

I am requesting all your prayers and financial support to fulfill the need for a safe home for an elderly mother Ammini (52) and her son Haridas (30). Ammini and Haridas live in a small town near
Mundakkayam, Kottayam. Ammini works as a housemaid for daily wages while her son is a carpenter by profession and works part-time. Unfortunately, he has limited physical capability due to several injuries;his fingers were severed on the job and the surgery has left him with limited hand mobility and numbness, reducing his ability to work on multiple extended projects.He sustained an additional head injury from a motor vehicle accident as well. They currently live in a makeshift shed on a 7-cent plot. The doors and windows have no sturdy covers and are covered by cloth/plastic. The floor is plastered with a thin layer of mud and cow dung. The asbestos sheets on the roof cannot withstand the heavy monsoon rains and leak water into the house. Moreover, a brook next to their house overflows during monsoon seasons and brings deadly reptiles inside such as venomous cobras recently – fortunately both escaped unscathed. Several folks have stepped up and pitched in for the house. A local architect designed a plan estimating 16 lakhs INR, recently approved by the Panchayat. Building materials have been donated and a contractor has agreed to the current cost. They have applied for a loan of 3 lakhs, the maximum that they are eligible for. Due to their meager income and work schedule, they are ineligible for higher loans but need stable housing immediately.I am appealing to each one of you to put your generosity toward their urgent need.Each contribution to Compassionate Heart Network will go toward fulfilling this dream of a safe shelter for this family.
